Crazy weekend!

So it started Saturday when Karolyn and I went to the "Spring Fling" Stamp Convention in Mesa. We were there for hours and managed to spend silly amounts of money on this crazy obsession of ours! They have a card contest for both days of the convention but because I struggled with the Saturday theme (Front Porch), I didn't enter to win (I will say that I was lucky enough to win this contest last year...$100 to spend anywhere in the convention). Anyhoo, Karolyn entered both days and although she didn't win on Saturday, I am excited to tell you that she did win on Sunday (theme was Mother and Child). Her card was darling...I knew she was going to win! CONGRATS Karolyn!

Now I apparently, have been living under a rock because although I have just been stamping a couple of years, I just discovered "Stamps by Judith", oyyyyyy...this I didn't need! Strangely enough, another friend of mine, Susan, happened to be working Judith's booth and she was more than helpful in spending my money. These stamps are stinkin' cute! I became obsessed with their "sticks and stubbies"...darling little miniature stamps, that of course can be used for anything, but I fell in love with the "Tree for all Seasons" stamp that you stamp them on.




This is my first card using my new stamps. The base of the tree is done with "Dust Bunny" and is decorated with cute little carrots and eggs...too fun! I stamped an extra bunny and cut it out, mounting it on 3M Foam Tape for dimension. Images are colored with Prismacolor Pencils. Background is done with Pebbles Inc. Shimmer Pastel Chalks.
